OEP Supplies Gaskets for Parkland Hospital In Dallas

 In blog posts, Uncategorized

Orazen Extruded Polymers supplied over 1/2 million feet of silicone and EPDM gaskets for the Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas.  In addition, thousands of silicone setting blocks for this job were manufactured and supplied by OEP.
A great deal of the silicone spacer gasket was custom colored with a high end metallic gray, to make the buidling envelope as visually pleasing as it is structurally sound.  “Customers that want the best and build their structure to last, use silicone,” said Mike Orazen…owner of Orazen Extruded Polymers.  Orazen was presented with the challenge / opportuity by the project manager at Win Con to develop the custom metallic gray silicone, cut the dies, and supply large volumes in a very short amount of time.  Rod Pistokache at Win Con said, “Mike and Orazen Extruded Polymers stepped up to the plate and supplied quality gaskets and setting blocks, on time, and saved us money.  He did all of this with very little lead time and material and tooling to develop.  It was impressive.”

Parkland Hospital is a state of the art new facility. The article below spotlights how Parkland’s new $1.27 billion hospital is striving to achieve at least LEED Silver, a high-quality rating based on the design, construction and operation of the hospital as a green building.
